The Secretary, Ekameta Local Council Development Area, (LCDA) Hon (Dr).Leye Adeniji has organized a free health services for the elderly between 60 years and above during this festive period, saying health is wealth .
The Secretary in a statement made available to Journalists in Ado Ekiti said the elderly needed medical attention to be hale and hearty for them to live longer.
The statement added that doctors will be available on 29 December, 2022 at Women Development Center, Ikogosi Ekiti by 9:00 AM to run free test, give medical advice, prescribe and give free medications to the elderly who could not afford the bills in hospitals.
The statement enjoined the inhabitants of Ikogosi Ekiti to troop out en-mass to enjoy the dividends of democracy .
Recall that the executive Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Oyebanji hails from Ikogosi Ekiti and since assumption, he has embarked on projects that have direct impact on citizens of the state despite paucity of fund. Some of which are ; Fixing bad portions of roads in Ado Ekiti, prompt payment of workers’ salaries, car loan for workers and many more.
Replicating the good works at the local government, Dr Adeniji with the support of the Governor is set to put smiles on the faces of the elders during the yultide season.
