Pastor (Dr) Adebola IGBEKELE of Upon Mount Zion Revival Ministry , Akure, Ondo State has called on Nigerians to pray to God to revamp the economy of the country, saying Nigeria pastors have never and would not in any way cause hardship for Nigerians.
Pastor IGBEKELE made the clarification at Akure while reacting to a statement made by Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Citadel Church, that Nigeria pastors are the problem of Nigeria. Pastor IGBEKELE reiterated the roles of pastors in the stability of Nigeria, saying, prayers have been the stabilizing factors that keep Nigeria together.
The clergyman said Pastor Tunde Bakare lied for attributing the economic woes of Nigeria to Clergymen in Nigeria. He stressed that pastors are not at the helms of affairs of the country. ” We are not members of the executive arm of the government or the legislature, how have we caused the present economic brouhaha? We pray for growth, development and stability of this country day and night. So, I am surprised and disappointed at the statement made by Pastor Tunde Bakare ”
My candid advice to people at the helms of affairs and Nigerians is to diligently seek the face of God and turn a new leave from their evil deeds.God still answers prayers, He’s ready to turn Nigeria around.” The clergy added.
