Officers of the Ekiti State Security Network code name ‘Amotekun’ Corps embacked on Show of Force across the nooks and crannies of the state on Saturday.
The commandant of the Corps, Rtd. Brigd Gen.Olu Adewa said the ‘show of force’ was carried out in virtually all the sixteen Local Government Areas of the state, Saying Military and other security agencies in the state participated in the exercise to show their readiness to ward off marauders and criminals out of the state .
Addressing Journalists in Ado Ekiti, commandant of Ekiti State Amotekun Corps , Rtd Brigd. General Olu Adewa said the exercise is to send signal to criminals that it will not be business as usual, reaffirming the readiness of the corps to flush out criminals from the state using traditional and technological means.
Rtd General Adewa who hinted that the outfit would continue to collaborate with other security agencies to ensure safety of lives and property of residents of the state.
The Commandant called on Ekiti peoples to give credible information to the corps, while promising swift responses to distress calls at all times.
