Staff of Ekiti State Scholarship Board have reaffirmed commitment to discharge their duties at ensuring delivery of the 6- point agenda of the present administration.
The Deputy Director, Scholarship Department, Ekiti State Scholarship Board, Mr Sanmi Ayodele gave the affirmation at a get-together organized by the Executive Secretary, to welcome the workers to the new working year.
Speaking on behalf of the entire workforce of the board, Mr Ayodele promised their loyalty and cooperation to the Executive Secretary, Mrs Bosede Jegede towards achieving the corporate goals and core mandate of the organisation.
Mr Ekundayo Oloniyo also described the Executive
Secretary as a formidable team leader, who is poised at making the welfare of her staff a priority.
Earlier, the Executive Secretary, Mrs Bosede Jegede appreciated the staff for their cooperation since her assumption of office as the number one civil servant in the board, calling on them to build on the relationship already established in the new year.
She said her gesture to host them at the beginning of the year was borne out of her desire to strengthen their relationship and motivate them to work harder, being the engine room for the implementation of government policies in the education system.
“This event is an occasion to share wonderful testimonies, refresh ourselves and get along as a team and family as well as to remind the staffs that this event isn’t just about work but to create a friendly atmosphere, a place to feel among as a team and family”. She said.
Mrs Jegede commended the governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji for creating enabling environment and priotizing the welfare of workers through human capital development.
She rekindled the hope of indigent students in the state that the state government would continue to make scholarship fund available to deserving students of Ekiti origin in higher institutions of learning.
The various heads of departments of the board later gave the reports of happenings in their offices.
