The former governor of Ekiti State, Mr Ayodele Fayose has promised to support the administration of the governor – elect, Mr Biodun Oyebanji .Fayose opined that the development of Ekiti state is a collective effort.
Mr Fayose gave the assurance at his residence in Lagos when the governor -elect, Mr Biodun Oyebanji paid him a thank you visit on Wednesday.
Mr Oyebanji said the visit was to extend courtesies to the former governor of Ekiti state, Mr Fayose who demonstrated statesmanship by congratulating him shortly after he was declared winner of the June 18th governorship election.
While receiving the governor- elect, Fayose enjoined Mr Biodun Oyebanji to be magnanimous in victory.He stressed that the Governor elect should see himself as the governor and leader of the people irrespective of political affiliations.
Mr Oyebanji in continuation of his thank you visit to eminent personalities in Ekiti State had earlier visited the governor of Ekiti state, Dr Fayemi, former governor and the minister of Trade and investment, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo, Chief Deji Fasuan, an elder statesman and Ewi of Ado Ekiti, HRM Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe among others.
