The new Head of Service, Barrister Bamidele Agbede has charged civil servants to work together as a team in order to move the public service forward.
The new boss gave the charge during a familiarization tour of all offices in the Governor’s office environment on Tuesday where he
interacted one on one with the civil servants and solicited their support for excellent performance.
In a statement by the Director of Press, office of the HOS, Mr Femi Bamisaye described the Ekiti civil service as one of the most vibrant, dedicated and progressive civil service in Nigeria. Saying “Civil Service in Ekiti State is one of the most vibrant Civil Services in Nigeria”.
The new Head of Service stressed further that “he will like to see more positive changes in the civil service in terms of capacity development, innovation, and attractiveness on the job with prompt output”.
Barrister Agbede assured workers that government will continue to do its best for workers in terms of: Health development, insurance and security of lives and their jobs for optimal performance.
Earlier, a prayer session was held in the office of the new Head Of Service with the civil servants.
The Permanent Secretaries that accompanied the Head of Service on the tour were: PS Ministry of Regional Development and Special Duties, Sesan Afolabi, PS Genaral Administration, James Owolabi, PS Establishments and Service Matters, Bayo Opeyenmi, PS Protocol, Babatunde Alokan, PS Finance, James Folorunso among others.
Mr Bamisaye said the offices visited were Office of the Deputy Governor, Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Accountant General’s Office, Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, Ministry of Regional Development and Special Duties, Political and Economic Affairs Department, Cabinet and Special Services Department, Government House and Protocol Department.
