The Nigeria Union of Journalists, BSES Chapel, has extended heartfelt gratitude to the Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, for his unwavering support and commitment to the resuscitation of Ekiti Television, EKTV for terrestrial transmission.
The Union said that Governor Oyebanji’s administration has taken significant steps by releasing funds to revive Ekiti Television and connecting the corporation to the national grid.
In a statement jointly signed by BSES Chairman and Secretary; Comrade Kelechi David and Comrade Adedayo Adeleye on Friday
The statement further noted that the Governor has initiated the Independent Power Project, IPP to ensure a regular power supply for the corporation, which is nearing completion.
Members of the union commended the Governor for these remarkable achievements and appeal for quick access to the 2025 BSES budget to acquire other relevant equipment and tools essential for the state-owned media station.
The Union also called on the Governor to recruit more hands in the news and engineering departments to enhance the media landscape in the state.
