The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ekiti state Council, has hailed the State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji for appointing its erstwhile chairman, Akogun Tai Oguntayo as Technical Advisor on Public Communication (Political).
In a statement co-signed by the Union’s chairman, Comrade Kayode Babatuyi and the Secretary, Comrade O’Seun Ogunsakin, the Union thanked Governor Oyebanji for appointing its member to his cabinet, saying, having the right set of people in the right positions fast-tracks people-centered development.
The Union appreciated Governor Oyebanji and assured him of media-related appointees from the Union would not fail the government in its bid to deliver shared prosperity to Ekiti people.
While congratulating Oguntayo on the appointment, the Union said the appointment was well-deserved which was a reward for hard work and professionalism.
It added that the appointment was an affirmation of its decision to name its hall after Akogun Oguntayo who had led the Union with remarkable impacts.
The NUJ congratulated Oguntayo and urged him to justify the confidence reposed in him by the governor.
