Five days to the Ekiti State governorship election, Citizens in Politics Assembly, CIPA, an APC support group focused on ethical governance and leadership development, has said Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s performance record reflects dividends of accountability and people-centred governance.
In a statement issued on Monday, CIPA National Coordinator and Director General, Mrs. Abigail Adesina Olagbaye, said the administration’s interventions in agriculture, infrastructure, healthcare, enterprise development, and economic transformation have delivered measurable results for citizens.
Olagbaye said the government disbursed over ₦400 million for agrochemicals, fertilisers, and improved seeds at a 50 percent subsidy, and distributed 20,000 bags of fertiliser free to farmers across the state. She said the interventions boosted food production and reduced costs for farmers.
On infrastructure, she said 25 interstate and intercity roads covering 288 kilometres were constructed with modern street lighting. An additional 135 kilometres of rural roads were delivered under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project, RAAMP, improving access for farming communities and market linkages.
The CIPA coordinator said pregnant women, children under five, persons with disabilities, and sickle cell patients continue to receive free medical care at government health facilities. She said the programme has reduced financial hardship and improved health outcomes.
She also cited facilitation of free Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC, registration for 5,432 entrepreneurs, enabling small business owners to formalise operations and access opportunities.
Olagbaye described the completion of the Ekiti Agro-Allied and International Cargo Airport and commencement of commercial flight operations as a defining achievement that positions Ekiti for investment, agribusiness, tourism, and trade.
“Ekiti people have witnessed a government that listens, works, and delivers. The achievements under Governor Oyebanji are not mere statistics; they are real interventions that have impacted families, communities, and businesses,” Olagbaye said.
She said performance should be the basis for voters’ decision on June 20, adding that Oyebanji’s record speaks clearly for itself.
