AYODELE KOLAWOLE( a.k.a )last Kobo ’30yrs’ and ASEGBEOSI BAMISE (a.k.a) KONGO ’20yrs’ both from Ayegbaju-Ekiti were arrested by the anti- Kidnapping Unit of the Ekiti State Police Command
The duo were arrested on 25th August for burgling an apartment in Ayegbaju-Ekiti, carting away items worth millions of naira.
In a statement by Ekiti State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Sunday Abutu said the complainant alleged the suspects alongside others who are currently at large burgled his house in January 2022 and stole one HP laptop computer worth #310,000, one Cannon video camera worth #850,000, Cain cable valued #85,000, one Cannon photo camera valued #75,000, one Tecno L9 Plus phone valued #85,000, one Tecno Camon phone valued #45,000, Eat pad valued #65,000 and other valuables.
The statement added that during interrogation, the suspects confessed to the commission of the crime and revealed that they are part of a syndicate that specializes in burgling shops and residential apartments.
DSP Abutu said the suspects will be arraigned accordingly
