Prof. Akinwumi described the victory as historic, noting that Governor Oyebanji has become the first governor in Ekiti State to break the second-term jinx, securing back-to-back election wins and cementing his place in the state’s political history.
He said the outcome is a clear testament to the trust, confidence, and goodwill the people of Ekiti have in the governor’s leadership, humility, and people-centered governance.
The SUBEB boss expressed confidence that Governor Oyebanji will consolidate on his numerous achievements in education, infrastructure, and people’s welfare.
“We are confident that your second tenure will be marked by the consolidation and expansion of the remarkable achievements recorded in your first term. The people expect and trust that you will build on this foundation to deliver even greater progress in infrastructure, education, agriculture, healthcare, and youth empowerment across Ekiti State,” he stated.
Prof. Akinwumi also gave special recognition to the people of Unit 10, Ward 02, Ekiti West Local Government Area for their support and solidarity to ensure victory for the governor.
He said that under his leadership and mobilization, the unit delivered a landslide victory for the APC with a margin of 219 votes, while the closest rival polled only 11 votes.
