The Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji has approved the appointment of four Executive Secretaries and 18 Heads of Local Government Administration (HLA) to further strengthen local government service in the state.
while giving appointment letters to the appointees, Mr. Babatunde Jegede, permanent secretary, Ekiti State Local Government Service Commission said the appointment was unprecedented in the history of local government administration considering the number of the appointed officers.
The Permanent Secretary advised the appointees to rededicate themselves to duty and be more committed to the ideals of the local government service for efficient delivery.
Saying their new appointments entail higher responsibilities that would require their expertise for outstanding performance in their various Local Governments.
According to Mr. Jegede, all hands must be on deck to ensure the success of the 6 Point Agenda of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
He lauded the Governor for promoting career growth in the local government service as well as giving workers’ welfare a topmost priority.
Responding on behalf of the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Sesan Aina thanked Governor Oyebanji finding them worthy of the appointments pledging unalloyed loyalty of the entire workforce of the local government to the administration of Mr. Oyebanji.
He assured the Governor improved service delivery at the grassroots and lauded the Governor for prioritizing workers’welfare and putting in place legacy infrastructures that have direct impacts on Ekiti people.
Recall that the newly appointed officers have been on acting capacity for some time while the appointments take immediate effect
