Following suffering and groaning of the masses in getting petroleum due to scarcity that have skyrocketed the price per litre between #240- #260 in major States of the federation, the
Ekiti State governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji has constituted a task
force to look into the issue of fuel scarcity in the state.
According to a statement by the Special Adviser media and strategy to the governor, Mr Yinka Oyebode, Mr Deji Adesokan is the chairman of the task force.
Director of utility Services, General Administration Services will serve as the Secretary.
Other members are:
*Chairman, National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), Ekiti State.
* Chairman, Ekiti State Petrol Dealers Association.
* Representatives of the Commissioner of Police and Director State Security Service
*Chairmen of NLC and TUC.
* Representatives of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).
*Director in charge of Ekiti State Petroleum Monitoring Agency.
*Representative of Weight and Measurement Unit, Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industries.
the Task Force will commence work immediately.
Recall that scarcity of petroleum in all States of the federation has skyrocketed the price from #180- #250 which has negative effects on prices of commodities, services and transportation .
