Chairman, Association of Local Government of Nigeria,( ALGON), Ekiti state Chapter and Executive Chairman, Ekiti East Local Government, Omuo Ekiti, Hon Oluwasegun Ojo has Felicitated Muslims across Ekiti state and Nigeria on the occasion of this year Eid-El-Kabir celebration.
The Chairman in a statement made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti congratulated Muslims for witnessing this year ELD-EL-KABIR. He urged them to reach out to the less privileged as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim who lived for the Masses. He charged them to pray for the timely intervention of Allah on the economic and security challenges bedeviling Nigeria .
Also solicited prayers for the Governor of Ekiti state, Biodun Oyebanji for sound health and God’s favour to continue the good works in the state while appreciating the support and peaceful coexistence of the Muslim community to Governor Oyebanji’s administration. He further enjoined them to support the governor in his quest to take the state to an enviable height.
While calling on all residents of the local Government to be vigilant and report any suspicious movement or activities that could truncate the peace of the council to relevant authority. He assured that security operatives are on patrol of all communities to ensure crime free Sallah celebration. It’s my prayers that Allah spare your lives to celebrate many Sallah in sound health and long life. I wish you happy celebration. ALGON chairman stated.
