The Federal College of Education (FCE), Ilawe-Ekiti, has concluded arrangements for the matriculation of newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session. The ceremony, which is scheduled for Thursday, June 18, 2026, will formally induct fresh students into the institution’s Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programme.
In a statement by Temilola Mercy Ajide, Public Relations Officer said the matriculation ceremony marks the beginning of the students’ academic journey and their integration into the institution’s academic community. The Acting Provost, Dr. Abdulmumin Isah, is expected to address the students, while the Registrar, Dr. Khadijah Wuraola Garba, will administer the matriculation oath.
The newly admitted students have been enrolled into six departments spread across three academic schools, namely the School of Education, Early Childhood Care and Primary Education; the School of Languages, Arts and Social Sciences; and the School of Sciences, Vocational and Technical Education. The institution also operates specialised directorates aimed at enhancing practical training and academic development.
College authorities stated that all matriculating students and their guests are expected to be seated at the College Auditorium by 9:00 a.m. for the commencement of the ceremony, which is expected to attract members of the academic community, parents and other stakeholders.
