The immediate past governor of Ekiti state, Dr Kayode Fayemi has pledged unalloyed support to Oye Local Government youth Forum .
The former Governor gave the assurance at his home town, Isan Ekiti on Thursday while playing host to the leadership of Oye Local Government Youth Forum Executives, led by its President, Engineer Femi Fagbemi .
The former governor who said the youth body was a force to reckon with ,considering their activities that has not only helped reduce crime in the local Government but influenced better life for their teaming population. He appreciated the brilliance, boldness, determination and the progressive Youth leadership who have been civilized in carrying out their activities.
Earlier, the president, Oye Local Government Youth Forum, Engineer Fagbemi had sought the support of the former Governor to better position the youths of the local government in all spheres, advocated for programmes and policies that would address the challenges bedeviling the youths in the local Government.
Engineer Fagbemi commended the former Governor for his leadership prowees especially his developmental Programmes that opened Ekiti state for massive investment and good governance. “Your Excellency sir, you have successfully laid a solid foundation for good governance in Ekiti state through your people’s oriented programmes that succeeding governments will follow. We are not surprised that the incumbent Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji is doing great works in Ekiti, your brilliant template is at work”
“In lieu of this, the youth body in Oye Local Government needs your services and support in Ekiti North for better and robust representation where we shall continually tap from your wealth of experience as all hands are on deck that youths are not pushed aside in the next political dispensation”
