The newly promoted AIG, who is also the Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State, CP AKINWALE Adeniran has charged the new CP that would take over from him to get his vision and mission right and be ready to sacrifice for him to achieve success
He reiterated the importance of synergy between police officers and stakeholders in Ekiti as an antidote to stem criminality.
The CP gave this advice at the end of the year party of the command and his send forth in Ado Ekiti while commending the stakeholders for their support and cooperation for combating crime in Ekiti state.
CP AKINWALE said, “what we are celebrating today is success, people’s cooperation, harmony between police and Ekiti stakeholders because when I came, it was turbulent. However, with the support of my officers , we are able to reduce crime to the barest minimum”
He assured residents of the state that during and after yuletide, Ekiti will witness peace , Saying, we have gained residents confidence and Ekiti people have confidence in us, that’s why they gave us information.
The CP commended his officers for aligning with his visions.” 49 officers who displayed commitment and professionalism were given a certificate of commendation for making the command proud especially in fighting crime. Police job is not easy, you have to be up and doing; when others are sleeping, you have to be awake because if you sleep, criminals will take advantage of that to perpetrate their evils. The CP stated .
Earlier, stakeholders had taken turns to commend the Commissioner of Police for his dexterity, professionalism and cordial relationship with residents of Ekiti state which they said had helped reduced crime.
The stakeholders while wishing the newly promoted Assistant Inspector General of Police, success in his career, urged him to inform the police authority to give the state a professional and hardworking CP that would make Ekiti safe and secure.
