Following the screening and comfirmation of Prince Jacob Adeboboye Ologbese and Akinwumi Samson Sowore by the Ondo State House of Assembly, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has sworn the duo in as commissioners and assigned them portfolios.
Governor Akeredolu on Wednesday assigned Prince Jacob Ologbese to the Ministry of Regional Integration and Diaspora while Akinwumi Sowore was assigned to the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
Also, the Governor who carried out a minor reshuffle of his cabinet said the redeployment of the three commissioners was aimed at improving governance and deploying talents to reinvigorate certain sectors.
In a statement signed and made available to journalists by Richard Olatunde, the chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Ondo State reads in part: “Governor Akeredolu urged the newly appointed and reassigned Commissioners to perform their jobs to the best of their abilities while adhering to his administration’s mantra of “One Administration.”
Mrs. Bamidele Ademola Olateju, the former Commissioner for Regional Integration and Diaspora, was transferred to the Ministry of Information and Orientation, Fatai Olotu Aburumaku, the former Commissioner for Physical and Urban Development, was moved to the Ministry of Water and Sanitation while the former Commissioner for Water and Sanitation, Mrs. Yetunde Adeyanju was transferred to the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
