The Executive Chairman of Ifeloju Local Council Development Area Ilupeju Ekiti , Hon Olusola Michael Oniyelu has graded the long abandoned ABEIYA -ODO-OGAN- OKEJI ROAD.
Hon Olusola in a conversation with PRECISE NEWS on Sunday said, residents of ABEIYA, ODO- OGAN and OKEJI, EN-ROUT OLUWATOBA’S HOUSE, in Ilupeju Ekiti deserved good roads. He said the road was one of the best road networks in the town but was badly damaged by erosion and poor maintenance culture.
Hon Oniyelu posited that, his mission since assumption of office as Chairman has been to make residents of Ifeloju LCDA, Ilupeju Ekiti enjoy more dividends of democracy, saying, he would not hesitate putting smiles on the faces of the people. The chairman added that several Community roads and farm settlements in the LCDA have been graded and opened for usage.
While reiterating the importance of good roads in community development, Hon Oniyelu said one of the yardsticks for community development is access to motorable roads in all nooks and crannies of the community, saying it would boost economic status and fast track rapid development.
The chairman charged residents not to block drainages with refuse, saying doing so would not allow the graded roads stand the test of time. He pleaded with them to monitor all government projects in their domain.
Residents of ABEIYA, ODO-OGAN and OMIAFIN appreciated the chairman for helping them to grade the impassable roads that have been abandoned for several years, they prayed God to strengthen him and elevate him politically.
You will recall that the ODO-OGAN – OKEJI road had been in terrible condition for over a decade. This rescue mission is a testament that the chairman of Ifeloju LCDA prioritized the welfare of the people of the LCDA.
Also, Hon Oniyelu on Sunday re-graded and opened the newly reconstructed OMI- AFIN BRIDGE at the back of Saint Augustine Comprehensive High School .
