Ifeloju Local Council Development Area(LCDA) permanent secretariat, Ilupeju Ekiti project has begun and it’s expedient to continue in a rapid spate as the Executive Chairman of the LCDA, Comrade Babatunde Ogunmilugba and the communities desire.The foundation has been concluded and setting of blocks has commenced .
“A tree does not make a forest” and a bunch of broom sweeps better than a stick.Says the elders.Comrade Ogunmilugba appreciates the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Oyebanji for providing fund for the development of local Council Areas across the state. Also applauded the unflinching support and prayers of the Royal fathers, sons and daughters of Ifeloju LCDA, Ilupeju Ekiti for his success so far.
It’s a age long dream and prayers that come true to have the LCDA in place which shall metamorphose to Local Government in this present administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the pioneer initiator of LCDA in Nigeria for massive development of grassroots and extension of dividends of democracy to the people at the remote and local areas.
Consequent upon this, all hands are expected to be on deck and all progressive minds to solidly support the magnificent work going on in Ifeloju LCDA, Ilupeju Ekiti which will not only give more employments to our teaming learned and unskilled youths, it will promote Economic activities, as well as pave way for rapid Development of our communities and also put the name of our dear community in a world map when eventually upgraded to Local Government. It’s worthy of note that one of the criteria for full fledge local government is permanent secretariat and viable economic activities. Hence, Ifeloju LCDA, Ilupeju Ekiti Secretariat must be quickly erected and functional.
Many people may ask that is it not government Project and responsibility to build the secretariat. Yes, it’s a government Project, in fact, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has committed huge amount of money to Local Council Development Areas and Local Governments for developmental projects across the state as visibly witnessed in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.
Comrade Ogunmilugba, a visionary, purposeful and prudent manager of personnel and resources thought it wise to have embarked on legacy projects among which is the construction of Ifeloju LCDA secretariat, the ‘mother’ of all projects, believing that others shall subsequently follow at appropriate time.
To expediently put the secretariat in place, it requires the unrelenting team spirit of all the Kabiyesis, sons and daughters of our dear communities- Ilupeju Ekiti, Itapa, Osin, Ijelu and Omu Ekiti home and in diasporal to commit fund to the project.
The Secretariat under construction has several buildings.Such as : Administrative building, Legislative Chamber, Staff quarters, Event Hall, Restaurant, Transport Section, Works complex, Agric complex, Sport complex, standard field for various sporting activities and serene packing space among others.
At this juncture, it’s pertinent to partner individuals, corporate bodies, clubs and Associations to construct any of the buildings in conformity with the original specification and name it after whoever the builder desires. The essence is not only to get the secretariat ready on time but not to be excluded in the upgrade and establishment of more Local Governments in no distance time by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Recalled that ist August, 2023, the speaker of Ekiti House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye turned the soil of the secretariat and commissioned several projects across communities in the LCDA.
Conclusively, several works are ongoing across all the LCDA. The Executive Chairman is working tirelessly to ensure that inhabitants of Ifeloju LCDA, Ilupeju Ekiti enjoy more dividends of democracy as envisioned by the people’s Governor, Biodun Oyebanji.
