The Managing Director, Ikogosi Resort Centre, Chief Ayo Ademiluwa, has declared that Ikogosi Warm Spring has many medicinal leaves and strobes to cure different ailments, Saying it is more than just a resort centre.
The Managing Director, who is also the High Chief Asaoye of the community made this known while fielding questions from journalists in Ikogosi Ekiti
According to Chief Ademiluwa,” the warm spring has more than 65 different trees that are of high medicinal potency while the water has natural power to cure headache and some other ailments”
Chief Asaoye of Ikogosi said, contrary to people’s believe that the water has just one meeting point which is the confluence of cold and warm, discovery has shown that there are more meeting points which include the confluence of warm and warmer, cold and colder, and the popular warm and cold springs.
He stressed further that part of the mysteries that abound in the area is that all the varying degrees of temperature of the waters take their source from the same place, thereby making it second to none in the whole world.
The MD of the centre who described the warm spring as a large deposit of untapped gold mine, said the facility could become a cash cow for Ekiti State if well harnessed.
Chief Asaoye recalled that during the first tenure of Dr. John Kayode Fayemi, the place witnessed a turnaroun which attracted more tourists patronage from all around the world.
Chief Ademiluwa who is a childhood friend to the Governor-elect expressed confidence in the ability of Mr. Abiodun Oyebanji to change the narrative at the tourist center.
The Chief said the Governor-elect is exceptionally brilliant, extremely loyal and focused, stressing that those are the attributes needed for good governance.
The MD therefore, called on Ekiti people to show understanding and patience with the incoming governor to deliver dividends of democracy to the masses
