The Ilupeju Ekiti Development Association(IDA) will on 11th February, 2023 organize a workshop for the traditional and community leaders of the town.
In a statement by the Chairman and Secretary planning committee, Mr Sola Ogunmiluyi and Pastor Olu Olosunde, “The Workshop which is the first of its kind in any town in Ekiti State will take place at the Library Hall, Ilupeju Ekiti by 10am . The Theme of the Workshop is, Strategic Roles of Traditional and Community Leaders in promoting Community Development in the 21st Century”
The statement added that Resource Persons are expected to make presentation on the following topics:
(i) Overview of the Constitution of Ilupeju Development Association;
(ii) Leadership Skills for promoting Community development;
(iii) Knowledge of the Apeju Chieftaincy Declaration Laws; and
(iv) Appraisal of the Relevant Chief’s Laws of Ekiti State.
The President of Ilupeju Development Association(IDA) Dr Femi Babalola will perform the opening ceremony while Apeju of Ilupeju Ekiti, His Royal Majesty, Oba Sunday Awe Akingbade would be the Royal Father of the Day. Major stakeholders to participate in the Workshop include : members of Apeju in Council, kingmakers, IDA Executive members, Representatives of the youth, interest groups and associations in the Community.
Participants are expected to be seated by 9:30am for registration
