Ekiti State League of Veteran Journalists has described the leadership style of the state Governor, Biodun Oyebanji as exceptional, unprecedented and named him Grand Patron of the League.
Prince Kayode Oni ,the chairman of the league, said the group would use their wealth of experience, even in retirement, to contribute to the state development and governance to further promote the good works of Governor Oyebanji at all levels.
The league gave the promise during a visit to the Director-General, Office of Community Communications, Mrs. Mary Oso-Omotosho recently. The Chairman of the league said
the purpose of the visit was to foster mutual understanding and collaboration with the office and show solidarity with Governor Oyebanji’s administration .
The league comprises seasoned Ekiti journalists and editors as members from electronic and print media who have not only served the state diligently but have also earned distinction in journalism and media practice worldwide.
Acknowledging the DG’s creativity and professional ways she promotes government activities, particularly in reaching grassroots communities, they eulogized her as their pride and revealed the appointment of Governor Oyebanji as the league’s Grand Patron, affirming their firm alignment with his administration.
In her response, Mrs. Omotosho expressed her delight at the visit, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the office and the distinguished professionals. She highlighted areas of potential collaboration to enhance the transformative governance agenda of Governor Oyebanji.
