The meeting between the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Federal Government ended in a deadlock, as another meeting is slated for yet to be announced date.
The Minister of Labour and Employment, Simon Lalong had invited NLC leaders for a meeting following the Union’s threat to embark on indefinite strike over poor handling of the effects of fuel subsidy removal on the masses by Federal Government.
The meeting had in attendance senior officials of the ministry, the national president of the NLC, Joe Ajaero, the general secretary, Emmanuel Ugboaja, national president of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Titus Amba among others.
Recall that 5 and 6th September, NLC embarked on 2 day warning strike .
