The chairman Nigeria Union of Teachers, (NUT) Ekiti state Wing , Comrade Daodu Bamidele Olaitan has condemned the kidnap of school pupils and teachers in Ekiti state, saying the act was callous and appalling.
Comrade Daodu who sympathized with parents of the pupils over the ugly incidence which took place in Emure Ekiti on Monday while assuring that the pupils, driver and teachers would be rescued unhurt.
Comrade Daodu prayed God for the safe release of the abductees while urging their parents not to be deterred about the incidence. He stressed that Ekiti state government had taken steps to ensure safe release of the pupils.
While urging teachers to remain calm as efforts are in top gear to unmask the kidnappers. The chairman also condoled the families and communities of the deceased traditional rulers who were gruesomely murdered on Monday at Oke Ako, in Ikole Local Government Area. He prayed God to expose those that carried out the heinous crime.
