The Chairman of Ifeloju Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Ilupeju-Ekiti, Hon. Olusola Michael Oniyelu, has congratulated teachers across Nigeria on the occasion of the 2026 World Teachers’ Day.
Hon Oniyelu, in a goodwill message marking the annual celebration, described teachers as indispensable nation-builders whose dedication, sacrifices and commitment to the education and development of younger generations continue to shape the future of Nigeria.
He commended teachers in Ifeloju LCDA for their tireless efforts in imparting knowledge, moulding character and preparing children and youths to become responsible citizens and future leaders, stressing that their contributions extend beyond the classroom to the overall development and progress of society.
The council chairman also appreciated the teachers for their unflinching support for the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, noting that their commitment to the state government’s programmes and policies had contributed to the administration’s achievements in the education sector and other areas of development. Adding that their support and cooperation had positively impacted his administration in Ifeloju LCDA, assuring them that their welfare, would continue to receive his attention.
According to him, teachers deserve recognition, respect and continuous support because of the critical role they play in building human capital and laying the foundation for a prosperous society.
Oniyelu pledged his administration’s continued partnership with teachers in Ifeloju LCDA, assuring them that he would remain committed to supporting initiatives that would improve their working conditions and enhance effective teaching and learning across the council area.
He urged teachers to remain dedicated to their noble profession and continue to uphold the values of discipline, excellence, integrity and patriotism, while assuring them of his administration’s readiness to listen to their concerns and work with them for the advancement of education in Ifeloju.
The chairman wished all Nigerian teachers, a memorable and rewarding World Teachers’ Day, thanking them for their sacrifices and invaluable service to humanity and the nation.
