The Online Media Chapel of Nigeria Union Of Journalists, NUJ, Ekiti State Council has felicitated the newly appointed Commissioners, Special Advisers, Permanent Secretaries, General Managers as well as the Executive Secretaries on their appointments.
The Chapel in a statement jointly signed by its Chairman, Comrade Ayodele Abere and the Secretary, Comrade Emmanuel Adeniran, also commended the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji for ensuring men and women of unquestionable characters were appointed to his cabinet.
Part of the statement reads, “Online Media has become the fastest channel of information dissemination in this digital age, is willing and ready to work with the State Executive Council in projecting it’s activities from time to time as the need arises”.
While expressing hope and confidence in the ability of all the appointees to turn things around for better in the State, the statement equally urged them to be objective and transparent in manning the affairs of their various Ministries, Agencies and Departments in line with the vision of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji-led administration, so that his mission for the State can be accomplished.
The statement further enjoined all the appointees to see their appointments as an opportunity to serve the good people of the State and not to amass wealth for themselves or family members at the expense of the common people on the streets of Ekiti, saying they should not be self centered in their policies and programmes.
The statement also advised participants at the ongoing three days retreat organised for the appointees by the State government to come up with policies that will better the lots of the masses in Ekiti State.
The chapel wishes them success in their various ministries .
