Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Chief Monisade Afuye has assured communities in the state that none of them would be left behind in the Oyebanji -led administration development plans .
According to the Special Assistant to the Deputy Governor on Media, Victor Ogunje , Mrs Afuye, noted that the recent state-wide interactions with all the communites in the state was to ensure that all sectors and communities are captured in the developmental plan of the state in other to ensure even development.
The Deputy Governor, who was speaking at lfisin Ekiti, during the 2023 lfisin Day celebration on Saturday, opined that leaders across the nation should imbibe acts of generosity .
“Oyebanji will not leave any Community out in the development of this state. He is totally committed to the even distribution of projects across the state so that communities like yours could also feel the impacts of government”
“Your commitment as a monarch to the development of your community endeared me to personally grace this occasion. Leaders all over the world should imbibe the act of giving. Giving free cooking gas to the residents by you, the monarch of lfisin is a noble act and it’s worthy of commendation”.
She also assured that the request for the construction of Ugbole -Ifisin road earlier tendered by the community would be conveyed to the appropriate authority for consideration.
The Deputy Governor, also canvassed for the support of the Community for the present administration in the state noting that all hands must also be on deck to ensure that the state witness the desired growth.
“Oyebanji government needs your support and prayers…we will continue to bring development to the grassroots more than ever before ‘”,she assured.
While addressing his subjects, the Onifisin of lfisin, Oba Micheal Folarin Fabunmi, applauded the Deputy for honouring his invitation noting that she had been handling the affairs of her office with the dedication of a mother.
“I am over-elated to have the Deputy Governor in our midst…her attributes are unquantifiable! She is a role model of motherhood’, he enthused.
The monarch who undertook free distribution of cooking gas to residents and other charity interventions to mark the event noted that his act of magnanimity was borne out of the need to express appreciation to God and to support the state government developmental drive .
Also present at the event were a popular Nollywood actor, Mr Peter Fatomilola who is an indigene of the community, Olufaki of lfaki, Oba John Adegbenro Falore, among others .
