The immediate past Senior Special Assistant to the Ekiti State Governor on State Capital and Human Development Authority, Hon. Ogunleye Olakunle Olanrewaju, has expressed appreciation to Governor Biodun Oyebanji for giving him the opportunity to serve in his administration.
Ogunleye, in a statement made available to PRECISE NEWS following the governor’s announcement of dissolution of boards, commissions and termination of appointments of political appointees on Sunday, described his service under the Oyebanji administration as a privilege and an opportunity to contribute to the development of the state. The dissolution affected political appointees, including Special Assistants, Senior Special Assistants and Technical Assistants.
He commended Governor Oyebanji for his leadership style, saying the administration had demonstrated a strong commitment to the development of Ekiti State and had continued to move the state on the path of progress.
According to him, his time in government provided him with valuable experience and an opportunity to serve the people of Ekiti, adding that he remained grateful to the governor for the confidence reposed in him by appointing him to serve in the administration.
Ogunleye wished Governor Oyebanji sound health, wisdom, God’s guidance and favour as he prepares to commence his second term in office, expressing confidence that the governor would continue to pursue programmes and policies aimed at improving the lives of the people and advancing the development of the state.
He also appreciated political leaders, community leaders, friends, associates and the people of his constituency who supported him throughout his tenure, particularly those who offered him useful advice, encouragement and prayers.
Ogunleye said he would remain grateful to everyone who contributed to his success, stressing that the support he received from various quarters strengthened him in the discharge of his responsibilities.
He congratulated Governor Oyebanji on the transition into his second term and expressed his commitment to continuing to contribute his quota to the development and progress of Ekiti State in whatever capacity he may be called upon to serve.
