Chief Tope Owolabi, an Igbole Ekiti born philanthropist, based in USA, the Founder of Babatunde Femi Heart Foundation has distributed food stuff, clothing materials, cash gift and other consumables to over one hundred persons in celebration of yuletide.
Giving out the materials at his residence on Friday along Afao Road, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, the founder who reiterated that the hallmark of the foundation was to always put smiles on the faces of the masses and to build a community where individual live healthy.
Adding that the exercise was a yearly event with a vision to prevent cardiovascular disease at the early stage before it becomes a terminal disease.
Chief Tope Owolabi said among other things that Babatunde Femi Heart Foundation includes:
“To build a community where we are all educated about heart diseases and it implications on the social economic development of our community.
“To be a world leader in preventing
cardiovascular diseases, including providing education, healthy living and research.
“To be a centre of excellence in preventing cardiovascular diseases and related conditions among others
While admonishing the beneficiaries, the founder said the genuine love of the birth and celebration of Jesus Christ should be extended to the masses not minding religion, race, tribe, age and status, saying the gesture must reflect genuine love, saying they should also reach out to the needy during the yuletide. He said” I sincerely appreciate your presence at this year’s programme, I advise you give to people around you out of the little you got here today. You don’t need to have much before you give; from the little you have extend to others, by so doing, God Almighty will continue to bless you”
On like the previous programmes, the beneficiaries were allowed to pick ballots and whatever written on the ballots were given. Some of the items given were: Pack of food stuffs, containing rice, garri, beans, noodles, clothing materials, life chickens, cash gifts among others.
The coordinator of the programme, applauded the kind gesture of the founder whom he said had impacted thousands of lives in Ekiti and neighbouring States through the foundation since its establishment in 2012.
Earlier, Pastor Kayode OJO admonished the beneficiaries on a short sermon titled ‘ life is ephemeral ‘enjoined the participants to seek the kingdom of God with all their hearts to be rapturable on the day of judgement while saying things of the world would perish with the world . He stressed that it’s only God Almighty that was sufficient enough to meet the needs of the masses,thereby enjoined them look up to God for help. The cleric prayed for the founder for more prosperity to continue to cater for needs of the masses.
While appreciating the philanthropist, Mrs Olowolayemo Oyenike appreciated the kind gesture of Chief Tope Owolabi for reaching out to the masses at all times, saying the founder did not discriminate religion as Christians, Muslims and traditionalists always benefitted from the foundation every year.
Also, Mr Temitope Ojo prayed God to bless the founder for gladdening their hearts during the yuletide, applauded the food stuffs and chicken gotten, saying it would sustain his family for weeks.
Others advised the founder of the foundation to continue in the good act of lifting the poor. They prayed God continue to increase him in all spheres.
Chief Tope Owolabi, is a chieftancy holder from Igbole-Ekiti, in Ido/Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Nigeria, who is passionate about the wellbeing of the masses. He has used his Non Governmental Agency to rescue thousands from poverty .
