President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho as the new Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
Also, appointed ,Senator Adedayo Adeyeye as Chairman of the Board of the Nigeria Port Authority
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, made the announcement on Friday.
The statement reads in part
Dr Dantsoho holds a Doctorate in Maritime Technology from Liverpool John Moores University, UK, and a Master’s degree in International Transport from Cardiff University of Wales, UK.
His extensive career within the NPA includes positions such as Assistant General Manager, Technical Assistant to the Managing Director, Port Manager of Onne Port, and Principal Manager of Tariff & Billing.
While Senator Adeyeye, the newly appointed Board Chairman, is a lawyer, journalist, and politician.
ADEYEYE has served as Minister of State for Works and former Senator that represented Ekiti South Senatorial District.
Adeyeye, the chairman of Southwest Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA) was a former Minister of state for works.
Adeyeye and his supporters transversed the nooks and crannies of Nigeria before 2023 Presidential election, canvassed votes for TINUBU.
