A tax expert and national Secretary of the Obalatan Commercial Grammar School, Ilupeju-Ekiti Alumni Association, Prince Ayodele Adebolu, has congratulated Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, the First Lady, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, and Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye, on the governor’s re-election in Saturday’s governorship election.
In a statement made available to journalists in Ado-Ekiti, Adebolu described Governor Oyebanji as a “jinx breaker” for becoming the first governor in the history of Ekiti State to secure re-election for a second consecutive term.
According to him, the governor’s landslide victory was a reflection of his outstanding performance in office, particularly in key sectors of the state’s economy, as well as his commitment to the welfare of the people and the overall development of Ekiti State.
The Ado-Ekiti-born prince noted that Governor Oyebanji had effectively utilized his office to address critical developmental needs across the state, citing achievements in education, healthcare, power supply, road infrastructure, agriculture, youth empowerment, and other infrastructure projects.
He said the administration’s people-oriented policies and visible projects had earned the confidence and support of residents, culminating in the overwhelming mandate renewed at the polls.
Adebolu also offered prayers for the governor, asking God to grant him divine protection, sound health, wisdom, and guidance as he prepares to commence his second term in October. He expressed confidence that the governor would not only consolidate on the achievements recorded during his first term but also introduce more impactful policies and programmes aimed at improving the living standards of Ekiti residents.
The tax expert further commended residents of Ado-Ekiti and members of the Obalatan Commercial Grammar School, Ilupeju-Ekiti Alumni Association, for mobilizing support for Governor Oyebanji during the election. He said their collective efforts demonstrated a commitment to sustaining good governance and accelerating the development of Ekiti State.
“By voting for Governor Oyebanji, the people have not only exercised their civic responsibility but have also reaffirmed their support for continuity, progress, and sustainable development in Ekiti State,” Adebolu stated.
