The National Vice President of Ilupeju Youth Development Associaion, Mr Sola Oniyelu has electrified the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Ilupeju Ekiti Division office in Ifeloju Local Council Development Area.
In an interview, the Division Officer of Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, Ilupeju Ekiti, DSC Olasekun Oladesayo said Mr Sola Oniyelu was on a visit to the office on Tuesday 25th July 2023 and noticed the office was not wired and promised to do it.
DSC Olasekun described Sola Oniyelu as a promise keeper who promised and less than 24 hours fulfilled the promise. He said for over a year the office has been without light, saying they were going out to charge their phones and torch which atimes hindered their operation.
According to him,” with the electrification , we can charge our phones, Torchlights and the illumination would scare marauders”.He appreciated the kind gesture of Sola, who he said was not appointee of government, yet made his impacts felt in the community. He prayed God to prosper his ways .
The officer while appreciating Ilupeju Ekiti for their support towards the renovation of NSCDC Office however called on well meaning individuals and corporate bodies to help provide the needs of the division which includes: Tables, chairs, toilet, stationeries, windows, more staff, mobility, iron gate to be fixed at offenders’ cell and solar light.
He stressed further that the four officials covering the communities that make up Ifeloju LCDA, Ilupeju Ekiti were not enough, he called on Ifeloju LCDA Chairman to request for more officials to the division for more effective security of the communities.
While pledging the concerted efforts of the corps to further strengthen security in Ilupeju Ekiti and other communities, urged residents to avail them urgent information whenever they uncover gatherings or activities they could breach the peace of the communities.
