The Special Assistant, Gender and Vulnerable Persons in the office of the Attorney General and Honourable Commissioner for Justice, Mrs Atane, Edabo Shirley has petitioned the Commissioner of Police in Ekiti State, CP Ogundare Dare to investigate and unravel alleged allegations of threat to life by Prophet Jeremiah Adegoke Agbana against Damilola Adeparusi.
The special Assistant on Gender and vulnerable persons made this known in a petition sent to the Commissioner of Police Ekiti State on Friday, a copy made available to PRECISE NEWS.
According to the petition, “Damilola Adeparusi, also known as Chef Dammy is presently in a serious jeopardy due to the alleged threats to her life by one Prophet Adegoke Jeremiah Agbana, who also goes by the name Billion Dollars Prophet of Spirit World Global Mission, Oye Ekiti.
“Pastor Adegoke Jeremiah, the founder of Spirit World Global Mission located at Saint Mary Primary School, Oye Ekiti has been reported that himself and his members are engaging in activities aimed at bullying Damilola Adeparusi, with the intention of coercing her into committing suicide.
She said “the use of threats, bullying and intimidation, especially within religious and spiritual organizations, is deeply troubling and goes against the principles of peace, compassion, and respect that all faiths advocates for.
The petition urged the Commissioner of Police in Ekiti State to initiate investigations into the allegations thoroughly and establish the veracity of the alleged threats to Damilola Adeparusi’s life and determine the extent of the bullying campaign conducted by Pastor Adegoke Jeremiah and the members of Spirit World Mission, Oye Ekiti.
While calling on the Police Commissioner of police to provide protection for Damilola Adeparusi and the preservation of peace around her.
She also called on the Police Commissioner to deploy all necessary resources to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the activities of Pastor Adegoke Jeremiah and his congregation on their church WhatsApp platform and identify those involved in a distressing campaign against her by ensuring they face legal consequences for their actions.
