In a statement in Otun Ekiti, Hon. Fadugba described Ramadan as a period of deep spiritual reflection, self-discipline, and compassion, urging the Muslim community to embrace the values of peace, love and generosity that define the holy month.
He acknowledged the resilience and unwavering faith of Muslims in Moba and beyond, emphasizing the significance of fasting, prayers and almsgiving in fostering unity and societal harmony.
“As we embark on this blessed journey of fasting and devotion, I enjoin all Muslim faithful to seize this opportunity to strengthen their relationship with Almighty Allah and uphold the virtues of kindness, patience, and selflessness. Let us use this period to pray for our community, state, and nation, seeking divine guidance and prosperity,” Hon. Fadugba stated.
The Moba council boss also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to religious inclusivity and peaceful coexistence, pledging continued support for initiatives that promote interfaith unity and community development in Moba Local Government.
He urged Muslims to reflect on the teachings of Ramadan and extend acts of charity to the less privileged, stressing that the true essence of the holy month lies in showing compassion and helping those in need.
