Ekiti State Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps, has again arrested a notorious criminal, Rasaq Bashiru and three others for committing various crimes.
While parading the suspects in Ado-Ekiti, on Wednesday, the Corps Commander, Brig. General Joe Komolafe, (Rtd), said Rasaq Bashiru, has been on the trail for various criminal activities.
The Amotekun boss said Bashiru, an ex-convict has served jail terms twice, was a kingpin of criminals known for stealing and burglary in Ekiti State
According to Joe Komolafe, “The leader escaped that day and luckily we have been able to apprehend him and we interrogated him and he said he was released during the last leniency that they normally grant in June.
When we arrested, Bashiru Rasaq, yesterday , we trailed him in company of two other people, one Ajayi Toyin and Sunday Tunde in possession of Indian hemp.
“He confessed to have gone to Damleck Event Centre to remove armoured cable and sold it . He confessed further to have stolen goats at ijan Ekiti”
Others paraded with Bashiru are 31-year old Niyi Komolafe for removing BEDC cable at Agric Area, 28-year old Ajayi Toyin in possession of fake naira notes and Sunday Tunde who was in possession of Indian Hemp.
Niyi Komolafe was arrested at Omisajana where he vandalised BEDC property, Transformer and took armoured cable.”
