I can confidently say that Governor Oyebanji made promises during the electioneering campaign and I can say as of today that he has performed excellently in fulfillment of his promises, even beyond the promises.
“It’s a job in progress and it still continues. What we have done in this respect is to make Ekiti people a centre point of our government and to ensure that we make every son and daughter of Ekiti, every citizen, to have smiles in their faces for having Governor Oyebanji as their governor.”
Olatunbosun praised the founding fathers of Ekiti State and acknowledged the efforts of past governors, traditional rulers, and leaders—especially Governor Oyebanji, who served as Secretary during the state’s creation and understands the challenges facing the people.
He highlighted Governor Oyebanji’s commitment to workers’ welfare, including timely promotions, arrears payment, office refurbishment, and digitalization noting that the administration has paid over ₦15 billion to pensioners and now pays monthly gratuities amounting to over ₦200 million
While commending the governor’s proactive approach to safeguarding lives and property, which have earned the acceptance and trust of Ekiti people, he mentioned that the establishment of an Independent Power Project (IPP) is to improve electricity supply, light up over 40 communities and also cited federal-state collaboration to enhance power through the 33kVA lines in Ikere, Ilupeju, and other areas.
The commissioner highlighted the ongoing and completed road projects linking rural communities to ease transport for farmers while emphasizing on partnerships between the state government and Access Bank to provide soft loans to traders and boost local businesses.
