The Federation of Ado Ekiti Students’ Union (FASU) has thrown its weight behind the re-election of the member representing Ado/Irepodun-Ifelodun Federal Constituency I, Mr. Olusola Fatoba, while also endorsing the continuity agenda of Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, and Senator Opeyemi Bamidele.
The apex students and youth body in Ado Ekiti said its endorsement of Fatoba was based on his impactful representation, visible achievements, and unwavering commitment to the development of the constituency.
Addressing journalists in Ado Ekiti, FASU National President, Aare Temitope Adeyemi, described Fatoba as a responsive and people-oriented lawmaker whose performance has justified the confidence reposed in him by constituents. He noted that sustaining the current developmental strides in Ado Ekiti and Ekiti State at large requires the re-election of Fatoba, alongside Governor Oyebanji and Senator Bamidele, to ensure continued socio-economic growth.

Adeyemi added that the Union extensively reviewed recent political developments within Ado/Irepodun-Ifelodun Federal Constituency and cautioned against the mobilization of non-indigenes to instigate unrest, warning that such actions could undermine the peace and stability of Ado Ekiti.
The FASU president also urged members to intensify awareness efforts among new students about the Union’s activities, with a view to strengthening unity and participation across campuses.
The Congress reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III, commending his consistent role in fostering peace, unity, and development in the town.
FASU stressed that acts capable of disrupting communal harmony are inimical to progress, adding that individuals would ultimately be judged by their contributions to development rather than acts of destruction.
The Union further called on all indigenes of Ado Ekiti to uphold the town’s dignity by shunning actions that could tarnish its image and continue to respect the traditional institution as the custodian of cultural heritage.
Raising concerns over emerging security threats on campuses, the Congress urged students to steer clear of unlawful activities that could damage their reputation and that of Ado Ekiti. FASU reaffirmed its commitment to the unity, welfare, and progress of Ado Ekiti students and youths, calling on stakeholders to sustain support for initiatives that promote peace, development, and collective prosperity.
