The Executive Chairman of Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, Ilupeju Ekiti, Comrade Babatunde Ogunmilugba has commenced work on Ilupeju Ekiti mosque- Menara market road.
The Chairman who said the bad portion of the road was an eyesore, considering its link to major parts of Ilupeju Ward 1, said it was incumbent on him to quickly fix the road before it cut off ward 1 residents.
The LCDA Boss said the road would be fixed with interlock . According to him “This road is always busy, it’s a central road to major parts of Ilupeju ward 1 and oftentimes heavy-duty lorries pass here and for durability, we have to interlock this road in the next few weeks. The clue of interlocking is taking from Cotonou , Benin Republic and Tinuola Petim road, Ado Ekiti”
While reiterating the importance of the road, the Chairman however pleaded with residents and commuters going to: Ilidan, Odo-ogan, Ewo, Odo-egosi, Araromi and other streets to pass through Esinkun- Iaye route.
He called on market women with make-shift tables on the road to relocate for quick completion of the road.
A visit to the place shown that drainage has been dug while granite, sand and cements have been procured
Some residents and market women who spoke to Precise news described fixing the road as good initiative that would not only beautify the area but allowed free movement of vehicles.
They prayed God to help the Chairman to quickly fix the road for use.Recall that the road has been in a terrible condition for long.
