Nigerians have been told their activities on earth would either take them to heaven or hell because God takes record of everything that transpires.
Rev. Tosin Okuwobi disclosed this during the burial service of Mrs Victoria Aina Ibitoye at Methodist Church Of Nigeria, Ilupeju Ekiti on Saturday, saying death is universal; everyone will die.
Rev. Okuwobi, speaking on a topic, ‘Seven lessons of death, said death is universal, every human being; old or young, rich or poor, righteous or sinner will all die at the appointed time. He urged the congregation to faithfully serve God for them to reign with Christ in heaven. The clergyman stressed that heaven is real ditto hell.
He said, individual’s activities would determine one’s final destination which could be heaven or hell. According to the clergyman,
“Life continues after the extinction of the physical body, your destiny and destination will determine where you are heading to whether hell or heaven. It will be disastrous if after enjoying the whole world, living a sinful life and you find yourself in hell.
Nobody can determine your destination except you, your
activities on earth are on record, after your transition, your record file shall be looked into succinctly with a view to ascertain your final home- heaven or hell.Nobody knows when death would come, therefore, I beseech you, be upright and forsake your bad deeds before it’s too late”
Recounting the life of the deceased, the clergyman said Mrs Victoria Ibitoye served God faithfully and lived a righteous life worthy of emulation.
Also, one of the daughters of the deceased, the coordinator for Advocacy women with Disability Initiatives in Ekiti State, Mrs Helen Ibitoye described her mother as a true Christian, mother indeed who lived for God and the masses. She promised to put to use all the good virtues and lessons she learnt from her mother, saying she would be sorely missed.
Late Mrs Victoria Ibitoye died at the age of 69 year.
