The Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye, has described the ongoing electronic registration of members by the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), led by Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, as a clear indication that the party remains the most organised and prepared political platform in Nigeria.
Mrs Afuye called on all loyal and committed APC members in Ekiti State to actively participate in the exercise, stressing that the registration would enable the party to accurately determine its support base and organisational strength ahead of future elections.
The Deputy Governor made this known on Tuesday in Ado Ekiti while being captured for the exercise at her office in the state capital, according to a statement signed by her Special Assistant on Media, Victor Ogunje.
Describing the initiative as a political masterstroke, Mrs Afuye said the e-registration programme represents a strategic and forward-looking step by the APC leadership as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.

She commended the national leadership for what she termed an innovative, data-driven approach to party organisation, noting that the exercise further reinforces the perception of the APC as the dominant political party in the country.
“I appeal to all our members across the 177 wards in Ekiti State to take part in this exercise. Getting captured is a clear sign of loyalty and commitment to our great party,” she said.
“This exercise shows that the APC is the most organised, most dominant and most prepared party for the 2027 polls and beyond. I commend our national leaders for this initiative. Knowing our numerical strength is critical to effective planning. Membership drive and mobilisation are key elements of party organisation.”
Mrs Afuye expressed satisfaction with the level of interest shown by party members since the commencement of the exercise, thanking God for its smooth take-off in the state.
Also speaking, the Coordinator of the registration exercise in Ekiti State and Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon. Gold Adesola Adedayo, praised the Deputy Governor for her leadership by example through her participation.
Adedayo expressed delight at the high level of compliance recorded on the second day of the exercise, noting that it reflects the large number of loyal APC members in the state.
He urged ward agents handling the registration to remain diligent and ensure that all party members are captured, in order to guarantee the overall success of the nationwide programme.
