His Excellency, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi, the Deputy Governor of Ekiti State has enjoined civil servants and political office holders to use their positions well, saying no position is permanent.
The Deputy Governor gave the charge at the retirement programme of Permanent Secretary Sola Ogunmiluyi at Ado Ekiti on 10 October, 2022.
Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi described PS Sola Ogunmiluyi as a diligent, transparent, honest, resourceful, God fearing, ardent respecter of law and highly strict officer who could not compromise standard despite avalanche opportunities to do otherwise.
He said PS Ogunmiluyi worked in his office where they were saddled with responsibilities of settling boundary disputes, Chieftaincy disputes and appointment / installation of traditional rulers. He stressed that despite the opportunities, PS Ogunmiluyi did not soil his name.
Otunba Egbeyemi reiterated the transparency of his office while dealing with community issues. He added that in 4 years the government of Ekiti State gave approval for installation of 34 Kings presented by king makers of various communities.
The Deputy Governor attribued the good virtues displayed by Sola Ogunmiluyi while in the service of Ekiti State Government to his home town, Ilupeju Ekiti where things are done appropriately.
He added that “Ilupeju Ekiti is one of the best town in Nigeria,” Saying sons and daughters of the town were always united for her development.
The Deputy Governor appreciated working with PS Sola Ogunmiluyi and his team who he said , made his job easy .He prayed God to protect him and wished him well as he retired from civil service.
Many people testify good about Sola Ogunmiluyi and they called others to emulate his virtues.
Some of the dignitaries that attended the programme includes: Top Government functionaries, Permanent Secretaries and their wives, Traditional rulers and chiefs, religious leaders, captains of industries, General Manager Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State, Olu Popoola, GM Fountain Holdings, Oska Seyi Ayeleso and others.
