Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Delegates Congress Committee for Ekiti State, Mr. Jarret Tenebe, has announced that 488 individuals identified as non-financial members of the party will not be eligible to participate in the ward congress scheduled for Saturday, 25th October 2025.
Tenebe, who also serves as the APC Chairman in Edo State, made this known while addressing journalists at the party secretariat in Ado-Ekiti on Friday.
He explained that the delegates congress would hold across all wards in the 16 local government areas of the state, where five delegates are expected to be elected per ward.
“We are going to elect delegates — five from each ward — and the process will be seamless, fair, and open. The exercise begins tomorrow at 10 a.m.,” he said.
The committee chairman urged party members and stakeholders participating in the congress to maintain peace and adhere strictly to the party’s guidelines. “My advice is that members should remain law-abiding and play by the rules of the game, which they have promised to uphold. APC is a party known for peace, and we believe the exercise will be conducted peacefully,” he added.
Meanwhile, the APC State Chairman, Barrister Paul Omotosho Elesin, welcomed the committee members deployed from the party’s national secretariat, expressing confidence in the party’s preparedness for a smooth, credible congress.
He further assured that the state leadership is committed to ensuring a transparent process that reflects the will of party members.
