The National Leadership of the Ilupeju Youth Development Association (IYDA) on Monday embarked on a series of courtesy visits to prominent sons and daughters of Ilupeju-Ekiti serving in strategic positions across Ekiti State, using the opportunity to unveil its development agenda and solicit support for the association’s new administration.
The delegation, led by the National President of IYDA, Comrade Lawrence Ibitoye, was accompanied by the immediate past President, Engineer Femi Fagbemi, who formally introduced the new executive members to the distinguished indigenes.
Among those visited were Hon. Sunday Adunmo, Ekiti State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) Coordinator; Mrs. Jumoke Fagbohun, Director, Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB); Mrs. Titilayo Olukemi Olofinbiyi, Permanent Secretary, Local Government Service Commission and Loan Board; Pastor Felix Ogunmiluyi of the Ekiti State Internal Revenue Service; and Mr. Dele Adeyemi of the Cabinet and Special Services Department, Governor’s Office.
Speaking during the visits, Comrade Ibitoye commended the officials for their unwavering support for the association during the administration of Engineer Fagbemi, as well as their continued contributions to the growth and development of Ilupeju-Ekiti.
He prayed for God’s continued blessings and elevation upon them while outlining the priorities of his administration, which are aimed at improving the welfare and prospects of youths in the community.



According to the IYDA President, the
association plans to establish a Youth Development Centre that will serve as a hub for vocational and skills acquisition training, with successful participants receiving working tools to enable them become self-reliant.
He added that his administration would also prioritise job opportunities for graduates, youth empowerment programmes, educational support for indigent students and sustained orientation initiatives to promote responsible leadership and community development among young people.
Comrade Ibitoye appealed to the distinguished Ilupeju indigenes to support the implementation of the programmes, stressing that the unity and sustainable development of Ilupeju-Ekiti remain the collective responsibility of all stakeholders.
In their separate remarks, the officials pledged their continued support for the new IYDA leadership and commended the achievements of the immediate past administration under Engineer Femi Fagbemi, expressing confidence in the ability of the new executive to build on the association’s successes.
Other members of the delegation were the Vice President, Mrs. Adeojo Mary; the Secretary, Comrade Stephen Ogunleye; and the Director of Education, Comrade Temitope Bamisaye.
