The Executive Chairman of Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, Ilupeju Ekiti, Comrade Babatunde Ogunmilugba has called on residents of the LCDA to come out enmass and participate in the forth coming Local Government Election.
Comrade Ogunmilugba in a statement made available to Journalists in Ado Ekiti, enjoined all residents of the LCDA to vote for the Chairmanship candidate of All Progressives Congress, Mr OluSola Michael Oniyelu and the four councillorship candidates.
The statement reads in part, “the Local Government Election coming up on 2nd December this year is very important to the existence of Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, Ilupeju Ekiti. We can not afford to have election apathy, that’s why from Tuesday, 21st November I will Kick-start HOUSE TO HOUSE CAMPAIGN in all the towns that make up Ifeloju LCDA to sensitize our people to participate actively in the Election”
“All arrangements have been concluded to visit the Royal fathers in the LCDA before 21st November in connection with the Election”
He stressed that his administration has put in place solid templates of good governance for the good people of the LCDA, saying he’s confident that the incoming Chairman, Mr OluSola Oniyelu would consolidate on the legacy projects and further fast-track development to Ifeloju LCDA.
While soliciting unflinching support for the incoming administration which he said commences with voting enmass for all candidates of All Progressives Congress in the Election.
Comrade Ogunmilugba however reminded the residents not to forget that the LCDA needs upgrade to full Local Government whenever Government deems it fit, he said one of the criteria is the votes that comes out during elections from the Ifeloju. According to him” This Election is not an election where our people will sit at home or go to market or farm with the mind that it’s not general election. As LCDA,
we are going to work with our obas and chiefs to ensure that all legible residents vote in the Election so as to record outstanding votes .
