Former Ekiti Central Senator, Fatimat Olufunke Raji-Rasaki, has urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 7, Oke-Ila, Ado-Ekiti, to reconcile their differences and strengthen party unity ahead of future elections.
Senator Fatimat Raji-Rasaki, who represented Ekiti Central Senatorial District between 2015 and 2019, made the appeal on Thursday during a meeting with party members, where she stressed the need for stronger grassroots engagement and collective commitment to the progress of the party.
She explained that the meeting was convened to rebuild relationships among members, promote understanding and encourage cooperation, noting that resolving internal disagreements was essential to strengthening the party.
The former lawmaker also emphasised the importance of allowing grassroots members to participate in decisions affecting their communities, urging party leaders to listen to their concerns rather than impose decisions.

She called on members to unite in support of President Bola Tinubu, expressing optimism that sustained cooperation would help advance his programmes and promote development in Ekiti State. Raji-Rasaki urged the members to put aside personal differences and work towards common goals, particularly as the party prepares for 2027 elections .
Ward 7 Chairman, Olajide Olamilekan, welcomed the former senator, describing her visit as an opportunity to reconnect with party members and strengthen relationships at the grassroots.
Olamilekan appealed to the government and party leadership to extend more appointments and development projects to the ward. He particularly called for urgent attention to road infrastructure in Oke-Ila, lamenting the poor condition of some roads in the area.
Similarly, Otuba Obafemi and other party members commended Senator Raji-Rasaki for reconnecting with the community, describing her engagement as an opportunity to renew ties with the people. Honourable Oluwole Esan said the meeting provided a platform for members to discuss the development of Ekiti State and reaffirm their support for the governor and the president.
Participants expressed hope that the engagement would encourage further reconciliation within the APC, improve communication between party leaders and grassroots members, and draw greater attention to the developmental needs of Ward 7.
