As the nationwide electronic registration exercise being midwifed by the All Progressives Congress to capture his members progresses, the Ekiti State chapter of the party, has met with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) to remove technical glitches and correct all the challenges being faced by the participants .
The Ekiti Coordinator of the exercise and the Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon. Adesola Gold Adedayo, led a team of APC delegation to NIMC office in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State Capital, on Friday.
Other members of the team were: the Ekiti Central Senatorial e-registration Administrator, Engr. Stephen Adetunji, and the Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Ekiti State Chapter, Hon. Ojo Oluwasegun.
Speaking on the pivotality of the visit to the success of the exercise, Adedayo, said the party decided to interface with the NIMC management to address challenges being faced by some party members in the ongoing APC E-Registration exercise.
Adedayo stated that the meeting centred around identifying the issues affecting the registration process and exploring practical ways to ensure a smoother and more efficient ways of subduing all noticeable impediments being faced by members across the state.
The commissioner expressed appreciation to the NIMC staff for their steadfastness, cooperation, and dedication to duty, saying their contributions was giving the citizens workable identities that were enhancing national security and respect.

He commended the work done so far and reaffirmed the commitment of the APC leadership in the state in providing all necessary support to guarantee a seamless and inclusive e-registration process for party members.
“As stakeholders, we will continue to work closely with NIMC and other relevant agencies to ensure that all eligible members are duly registered without unnecessary obstacles”.
The NIMC State Coordinator in Ekiti State, Mr Taiwo Ogundare, highlighted some of the difficulties encountered by the Commission, noting in particular that system failure has contributed to delays and inconveniences experienced by registrants.
Ogundare, however, assured stakeholders that efforts are already underway to rectify the challenges and that the issues would be resolved soon.
He further disclosed that NIMC has developed a structured timetable to guide its operations across the 16 local government areas of Ekiti State, with the aim of ensuring proper coverage and timely service delivery throughout the registration period.
