The national Chairman and Secretary of African Democratic Congress, ( ADC) Senator David Mark and Former Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, have urged Ekiti voters to use Saturday’s governorship election to change the country’s direction, declaring that Nigeria has “entered one chance” under the current leadership.
The leadership of the party made the remark on Thursday at the ADC’s grand finale rally held at the gubernatorial candidate’s office in Ado-Ekiti, where party leaders and supporters gathered ahead of the June 20 governorship election.
Addressing party faithful, the former governor said Nigerians were facing severe economic hardship and governance challenges, stressing that citizens have a responsibility to determine the future of the country through their votes. The duo and other party leaders called on women, youths and other eligible voters not to stay away from the polls, expressing confidence that the ADC would emerge victorious in the election.
“We have entered one chance. The only way out is for Nigerians to make the right decision through the ballot box,” Aregbesola said, urging residents to support the ADC candidate.

Also speaking, a former member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly and commissioner ,Hon. Akin Omole, alleged that the party faced challenges in securing some public facilities for earlier campaign activities but maintained that the development would not prevent the ADC from winning the election.
In an interview , the ADC candidate for Ekiti North Senatorial District, Senator Funsho Ayeni, described the turnout at the rally as a reflection of growing dissatisfaction among Nigerians over insecurity, poverty and poor governance.
Ayeni urged eligible voters, particularly young people, to participate actively in the election and use their Permanent Voter Cards to shape the future of the state, insisting that the ballot remains the most effective instrument for demanding accountable leadership and good governance.
Speaking at the event, the ADC governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Ambassador Dare Bejide, assured residents that his administration would deliver on its promises if elected. He appealed to voters to come out in large numbers and support the party at the polls.
The rally attracted prominent party leaders, including ADC National Chairman, Chief Ralph Nwosu; former Edo State Governor, Prof. Oserheimen Osunbor; the party’s National Financial Secretary, Dr. Mani Balarabe Rufai; Engr. Jide Adeniji, and other stakeholders.
