Ekiti State government is to spend #375,790,077,618.15 for the 2025 budget with a sealing of #444,182,344,696.00 to further enhance the actualization of it’s administration’s policy of shared prosperity of Six-Point agenda with
capital ratio of 51:49.
The Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mr Femi Ajayi said this on Thursday during the budget breakdown at the government house, Ado-Ekiti, tagged the Budget of Sustainable Impact”.
While comparing the budget to the 2024 of #375,152,157,569.39. A differential of 1%, further said the appropriation bill was presented to Ekiti state House of Assembly on October 29, 2024 and sugbed by Oyebanji on December 30, 2024.
The 2025 budget recurrent estimates stand at #192,061,570,488.61 compared to 2024 that amounted to #180,354,337.39, a differential of 6 per cent. 2025 capital estimates stand at 183,728,507,129.54 while that of 2024 represented #191,799,820,299.90 and a differential of 4 percent.
The Budget and Economic Planning Commissioner added that all sectors of the economy were captured within the ambit of available resources. He reiterated the administration’s commitment to fiscal accountability and transparency.
Ekiti State Commissioner for Information, Hon.Taiwo Olatunbosun reacting to questions from journalists after the budget breakdown, cleared gray issues, stressing the administration’s concern for people-oriented programmes.
Chief of Staff to governor Biodun Oyebanji, Mr Niyi Adebayo believed that Ekiti is on the path of economic renaissance. He said the state has not borrowed money from any quarters, pointing out that it will continue to ensure prudent management of resources.
The CoS noted that the budget will drive the policies and programmes of the government. He solicited the support of the people of the state and other residents to the Oyebanjl-led government.
